AAPC needed an explainer video that helped people understand the full potential and value that the company provides. Even some of the Staff at AAPC needed something that simply laid out the values and mission, thats how bad the video was needed.

The video that they wanted needed to be smooth with engaging transitions. They wanted to avoid anything that felt disjointed or awkward. Everything needed to have a strong fluidity to it; the scene transitions, the subject them selves, and the journey.

Final Storyboard

During the storyboarding phase it be came clear that some literal representation was needed in the graphics was needed. Because AAPC is not a well known company it the narrative needed to have clear graphic elements that made it apparent of what the company is, with or without narration.

A line named Gary

We also wanted some sort of guide that took you through the entire journey of navigating the healthcare landscape. The guide needed to show the frustration that is encountered and how AAPC is the answer. That was when we decided that a line named Gary would be that guide. The name has nothing to do with the role of being the narrative guide, just a tool to identify the element. This was a solution that was inspired by the original storyboard provided that showed an EKG monitor line acting as the guide.
